UPDATE 9:11 a.m. Thursday: The Smoky Hill Museum this morning sent out a revised version of its parade entry release that corrected dates. Those corrections have been made below.

The Smoky Hill Museum Street Fair is now accepting entries for the 2022 parade on Sept. 24.

Salina's Old West is the theme for this year's parade, which is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. Sept. 24 at the N. Santa Fe Avenue/Elm Street intersection. The parade will travel south on Santa Fe Avenue and conclude at South Street.

To enter the parade, fill out an application online or download at smokyhillmuseum.org under the Street Fair tab. To have an application mailed to you, email [email protected], or call Rosa De La Cruz at 785-309-5776. According to information from the Smoky Hill Museum, there is no entry fee for the parade.

Parade applications must be returned by Sept. 2 in order for those applying to participate. An information packet will be sent to everyone who enters by the deadline.

On Sept. 24, the parade entry sign‐in will begin at 9 a.m. Participants must be signed in and in place by 9:45 a.m. The parade will begin promptly at 10 a.m.
