There were many questions surrounding the 2023 Southeast of Saline football team, and after another resounding victory to open their campaign 3-0 many of those questions have been answered definitively.

For a second consecutive season, the Trojans battled a 2-0 Minneapolis team, and rolled over the Lions, this time by a final score of 60-6.

Southeast led 52-0 at half after another explosive performance by the offense, and the defense found fireworks as well, closing out the game with three picks and a fumble recovery for yet another four-turnover showing.

The first quarter was another episode of The Danny Kejr Show, as the first-year Senior quarterback rushed for a trio of touchdowns to give SES the early 22-0 lead.

On the first play of the second quarter, Kejr flexed his arm, hitting one of his new favorite targets in Tucker Thaxton for a 13-yard connection to extend the lead to 30.

Desperate for a score, Minneapolis went back to the air, but Cameron Witte lept into action and collected the second pick of the day for the Southeast secondary, taking this one 30 yards to the house for six more.

Following a Grady Gebhardt touchdown run on their very next possession, the Trojans did fumble the ball near the goal line, but sophomore Drew Weller recovered and the lineman found the end zone for another score before the half.

From there, SES put the car in cruise control with a running clock for the whole second half ensuring the 60-6 victory.

Any doubts about the new Trojan signal caller have been swiftly smashed, as Kejr dazzled once again, racking up 181 yards of total offense and four scores without surrendering a single turnover.

The SES defense has also returned to form, allowing just one score in each of its first three games, and forcing four turnovers in every contest so far.

The Trojans will be back in action for the third and final game of their homestand on Friday, September 22, when they host a red-hot Halstead team fresh off a huge win over a 3A power in Pratt this week.
