DeForrest H. “Boots” Barclay, 84 of Wakefield, died December 2 at the Mitchell County Hospital in Beloit.&nbsp; He was born April 28, 1936 in Clay County.&nbsp; Boots graduated from Wakefield High School.&nbsp; He married Janice Brighton on June 24, 1956 and she survives.&nbsp; Boots farmed all of his life in the Clay County and Wakefield areas.&nbsp; He also worked on Fort Riley for four years.&nbsp;

He is preceded in death by his parents, 3 infant children, 2 brothers, Pete and Jim Barclay and 3 sisters Rose Kent, Chelsea Parshey and Nelda Gray.

Son: William "Bill" and wife, Eden Barclay of Dunedin, FL

Graveside Inurnment Services:&nbsp; will be held at 11:30AM, Tuesday, December 8 at the Highland Cemetery in Wakefield, KS.

Memorials:&nbsp;&nbsp;may be made to the Boots Barclay memorial fund to be designated later c/o the funeral home.
