Elvin Dale Boss, 75, of Minneapolis passed away on October 10, 2023, at Salina Regional Health Center with his children by his side. He was born on March 6, 1948, in Quinter, to Dale and Mary (Sword) Boss.

Elvin had an amazing gift of wit and humor, as well the gift of friendship that was shared by many that knew him. He graduated from Gove Rural High School in 1966, then attended Brown Mackie College in Salina. He worked for and retired from Exline, Inc. in Salina after 40 dedicated years.

Elvin loved music and sang with the Salina Barbershop Chorus for many years, as well as in the church choir at Bennington United Methodist Church, in which he was a member. He was a member of the Bennington Lions Club for many years, served as a volunteer EMT for Bennington and served on the Bennington City Council. He most recently was a member of the Minneapolis Evening Lions Club and got together regularly for morning coffee with his friends.

Elvin married Janet Condray in 1972 and later divorced. He then married Cherryl Adams-Boss in 2004, who preceded him in death in 2017. He was also preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his children, Eric Boss (Melissa) of Ellis, Genny Hall (Kevin) of Gypsum, and Carri Boss-Barry (Troy) of Bennington; step-children Jason Adams and Amy Levendofsky; sister Ardis Bareis (Bill); grandchildren, Emma and Eryn Boss, Emalie and Karson Hall, and Bailey, Nolan and Nora Barry; step-grandchildren, Meagan, Priscilla, Chloe, Ayden, Isaac, Cassandra; and the late Jose Esparza.

Visitation will be Sunday, October 15 from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at Wilson Family Funeral Home, 405 Argyle Ave., Minneapolis, KS 67467. A graveside service will be at Highland Cemetery, Minneapolis on Monday, October 16 at 11:00 A.M.

Memorials may be made to the United Church of Bennington or the Minneapolis Evening Lions Club and may be left in care of the funeral home.
