Driver arrested for alleged DUI crash that killed Salina woman last year

The Kansas Highway Patrol has arrested a suspect connected to a vehicle crash that killed a Salina woman last year. 

According to online booking records, 21-year-old Abygail Emalee Aaron of Wichita was booked into the Saline County Jail just after 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Requested charges for Aaron include second-degree murder, driving under the influence, improper driving on the laned roadway, and driving on the left side of the roadway.

On February 15, of 2023, The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2000 Toyota Tundra driven by Aaron was southbound on Interstate 135 just south of Water Well Road at approximately 1 a.m.

The pickup crossed the center median and struck a 2016 Ford F150 driven by Jose M. Rodriguez, 41, Salina, on the shoulder of the northbound lanes.

EMS transported Rodriguez and a passenger in the Ford identified as Daisha J. Endsley, 26, Salina, to Salina Regional Health Center where Endsley was pronounced deceased.  EMS also transported Aaron to Wesley Medical Center. 

Aaron remains jailed. Online booking records do not list a bond for her.
