A male suspect violated his protection order, after an interaction he had with the woman who was protected from him.

According to the Salina Police Department (SPD) on Saturday, October 18 at around 10:00 am, an officer on patrol noticed a male suspect they knew had a protection from abuse order with a woman he was having a conversation with in the 800 block of N. 9th.

The officer spoke to the woman, after the suspect left. The woman stated the suspect came by her house earlier.

Afterwards, the officer searched for the suspect and located him in the 800 block of N. 12th St. The officer eventually tracked down the suspect at the Airliner Motel (781 N. Broadway).

When the officer attempted to arrest him, he resisted and a short scuffle occurred. Other officers arrived shortly after and arrested the suspect identified as Jason Rhoden, 29.

During the arrest, officers located methamphetamine on Rhoden.

Rhoden was booked into the Saline County Jail on the following requested charges of Violation of Protection Order, Obstruction, Possession of Methamphetamine and Drug Paraphernalia.
