Fire investigators are working to determine the cause of a fire that destroyed a rural Saline County home.
Just after 2 a.m. Sunday, crews responded to a house fire near Carlton, according to a social media report from Saline County Rural Fire District #1.
Dickinson County EMS checked a resident for smoke inhalation. Additional assistance from Saline County Fire District #2 was called to relieve personnel and help with overhaul efforts. Operations ended and the last units were released at approximately 8 a.m.
Additional information regarding the extent of the damage has not been released.
