DICKINSON COUNTY - An Abilene man was killed early this morning in a head-on collision on Kansas Highway 15.
According to information from the Kansas Highway Patrol, Eric Kenneth Skilling, 43, of Abilene, was northbound on K-15 in a Ford F150 pickup when for an unknown reason, the pickup crossed the center line at a slight bend in the roadway, striking head on a tractor-trailer rig driven by Stanton Neal Uffman, 54, of Greenleaf.
The wreck occurred at 5:50 a.m. Tuesday, approximately a mile north of Kansas Highway 4.
Uffman was transported to Abilene Memorial Hospital, according to KHP.
Neither driver was properly restrained, KHP reported.
Both vehicles were removed from the scene by wrecker.
