
A man was arrested on multiple requested drug charges after an incident in central Salina Wednesday.
Officers were sent to a residence in the 600 block of South Third for the report of a domestic disturbance and while investigating the domestic disturbance, located marijuana that Devin D. Johnson, 24, of Salina, had allegedly discarded in the front yard prior to their arrival, Lieutenant James Feldman reported this morning. Johnson was taken into custody and additional marijuana was located, he noted.
A subsequent search warrant was served at the residence and additional marijuana and narcotic pills were located, including approximately 40 grams of marijuana and more than 10 narcotic pills, Feldman explained. Additionally, two children under the age of 11 were in the residence at the time of the incident, according to Feldman.
Feldman reported that no charges in reference to the reported domestic disturbance could be established, however, the following charges were requested for Johnson.
Possession of marijuana with intent to distribute within a 1000 feet of a school
Possession of narcotic pills with intent to distribute within a 1000 feet of a school
Felony possession of drug paraphernalia
Misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia
Two counts of child endangerment
Two counts of Kansas Tax Stamp violations
