A fast-moving complex or two of storms is expected to race southeast across the region this evening and tonight.

While some large hail is possible, the primary threat will be damaging winds greater than 70 mph, some of which could be widespread. Heavy rain and pockets of flash flooding is possible as well.

Today: A 30-percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. Mostly sunny, with a high near 83. Light south southeast wind becoming south 9 to 14 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 21 mph.

Tonight: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly between 10 p.m. and 3 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 64. Southeast wind 6 to 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent.
