A toy chest and several antique toys were stolen last weekend from an unsecured shed in central Salina.
Brian Herrs, 64, of Salina, told police that sometime between 4:30 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. Saturday, someone entered an unsecured shed in the 600 block of S. Ninth Street and stole the toy chest and several antique toys inside, Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester reported this morning.
The chest had the named "Herrs" painted on top of the box and was red and white in color. Inside the box, were a red fire truck, and an International tractor, grader, and two dump trucks, Forrester noted. The loss was estimated at $1,000.
