Get ready, Salina! Week of the Young Child® is just around the corner, bringing a fantastic lineup of activities designed to celebrate young children and highlight the importance of early learning. This annual celebration, sponsored by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), is a time to shine a light on the needs of young children and their families while recognizing the early childhood programs and educators who support them.

Since its establishment in 1971, the Week of the Young Child® has served as a reminder that the early years—from birth through age 8—are the foundation for a child's success in school and life. It’s also a time for communities to come together to find new ways to support young learners and their families. Salina is marking the occasion with a week of engaging events, and families with young children won’t want to miss out!
