Police are awaiting surveillance video to help them determine who allegedly attacked a Salina man at a westside tavern early this morning.

A 25-year-old Salina man was in the restroom at Hank's Tavern, 116 S. Broadway Boulevard, just after midnight Wednesday when he was approached by a group of males who asked him some questions, Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester said this morning.

The man exited the restroom and was near the front door when the group again approached him and one of the males allegedly struck him. The group then began wrestling with the 25-year-old, and during the altercation, his ankle was broken, Forrester said.

No one else at the bar was willing to give a description of the group that allegedly attacked the 25-year-old, Forrester said. Police are awaiting surveillance video from the bar to help them identify the members of the group.
