The Salina Fire Department (SFD) are currently investigating an uninhabited house fire, as the same occurrence and area of incident happened in the past.
According to SFD on Thursday morning a home in the 200 block of S. College, was reportedly on fire. When SFD arrived to the scene, they discovered the home was uninhabited with windows boarded up.
Additionally, there was no power, nor electricity operating at the home.
The fire damaged both inside and outside of the home, as it mainly consumed the rear-end of the house.
The cause of fire is unknown at this time.
Chief Shane Pearson stated the home had a fire occurring in the same area 3-4 years ago. The house was occupied with residents at that time, and the cause of fire was unknown as well.
