
Home Health and Hospice of Dickinson County
Two members of the Home Health and Hospice of Dickinson County team have been recognized by the Kansas Home Care & Hospice Association for their outstanding contributions to the home health and hospice profession.
Kristen Hajek, RN, received the association’s Guiding Light Award, which recognizes seasoned professionals who demonstrate outstanding leadership, uplift those around them and make a lasting impact on the home care and hospice community. Hajek was recognized for her inspiring leadership, commitment to others and enduring contributions to the field. Megan Brown, MD, was named Home Care & Hospice Physician of the Year. The award recognizes physicians and nurse practitioners who demonstrate excellence in home care and hospice while advocating for these services within the health care system. Brown was recognized for her dedication, compassion and excellence in home care and hospice medicine. “Kristen and Dr. Brown exemplify the compassion, dedication and leadership that are at the heart of home health and hospice care,” said Melissa Peterson, RN, clinical manager for Home Health and Hospice of Dickinson County. “Their commitment to our patients, families and colleagues makes a meaningful difference every day. We are proud to see their contributions recognized at the state level.”
