Kansas Wesleyan has had a knack for scoring runs with two outs in the inning so far this season. Monday's game against the Park Pirates was no different.

The Coyotes (10-8) scored 11 of their 19 runs with two outs on the way to a 19-0 run-rule shortened rout of the Pirates at Dean Evans Stadium.

It looked like the Coyotes were not going to score a run in the bottom of the first inning despite William Dryburgh (SR/St. Joseph, Mo.) reached on an error to lead off the inning and Kevin Esquilin Cruz (JR/Trujilo Alto, Puerto Rico)'s bunt single gave Wesleyan two on with no outs. A double play moved Dryburgh to third, but it also sparked the offense.

Robbie Keener (FR/Abilene, Kan.) singled home the first run and Dustin Sipe (JR/Aztec, N.M.) followed with a double that Keener would score on when Park's catcher had trouble handling the relay throw in from the outfield. Jarrett Gable (JR/Colleyville, Texas) followed with a RBI single up the middle to yield the third run of the frame.

The Coyotes added five more runs in the second, all with two outs. Josh Sandoval (SR/Glendale, Ariz.) and Esquilin Cruz singled and then both scored on Keener's 2-out, 2-run double. Sipe followed with a single, and Keener would score on the play when the ball was mishandled in the outfield. Gable followed with a 2-run homer to right.

Diego Fisher (JR/Hollister, Calif.) led off the home third with a homer that ignited an 8-run rally for the Coyotes. Dryburgh was hit by a pitch and Esquilin Cruz walked. A walk to Haydn Brown (SR/Gardnerville, Nev.) loaded the bases and Keener would follow with a double to drive in two. After a walk to Sipe, Gable doubled in two runs. Reece Bishop (SO/Colorado Springs, Colo.) then walked to load the bases again that were promptly cleared by Fisher's 3-run triple.

Wesleyan capped the scoring in the fourth with three runs. Walks to Esquilin Cruz, Brown and Sipe loaded the bases and Bishop would drive in a pair on a 2-out single and Fisher would drive in a run with a single up the middle.

Meanwhile, Spencer Foley (JR/Lancaster, Calif.) was masterful on the mound for the Coyotes. He went the distance in his first career start, holding Park to three hits, all singles, and five strikeouts in the shutout win.

Keener, Gable and Fisher all had three hits and drove in five runs each to pace Wesleyan's offense.

Wesleyan return to action at Dean Evans Stadium with a weekend series with Oklahoma Panhandle State. The series has been moved to Saturday and Sunday due to forecast weather conditions on Friday. First pitch on Saturday is set for 1 p.m., and noon on Sunday.
