OTTAWA COUNTY - On Monday, July 28, the Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) plans to begin bridge repair work on K-106/Mill Street over Solomon River in Minneapolis.

Throughout the project, temporary traffic signals will direct one lane of traffic through bridge repair work. Motorists should expect minimal delays.

During the final phase of construction, the sidewalk will be closed for patching. This phase of construction is expected to begin in September, conditions permitting.

Wildcat Construction Co. Inc., of Wichita, is the prime contractor for this $735,403 project. Work is scheduled to be completed in November, conditions permitting.

KDOT urges all road users to stay alert and follow posted signs in all work zones.
