The Chapman Fighting Irish will host the #7 Abilene Cowboys in the final area rivalry matchup of 2021.
The Irish enter this game in search of their first win at 0-5 while Abilene comes in looking for a bounce back after losing their last two games and falling from #3 in the Class 4A rankings this week.
The Cowboys got the better of their area rivals last year with a 2-0 sweep of the season series, adding on to a dominant run of sixteen straight victories over the Irish.
Abilene remains incredibly deep and will need their stars to step up big, looking for impactful performances from the likes of Kaleb Becker and Triston Cottone.
Chapman is still in search of their consistent offensive producers after back-to-back games scoring just 30 points against Wamego and Marysville.
So far this season the Cowboys have outscored their opponents 300-231 while the Irish have been outscored 304-193.
Tip-off between the Cowboys and Irish is set for 7 pm at Chapman high school following the girls game at 6 pm.
