Freeze warnings, watches issued for this weekend

Freeze warnings and watches have been issued for our area this weekend.

Freeze warnings

The National Weather Service in Wichita has issued a freeze warning in effect from 12 a.m.-8 a.m. Saturday for the following counties in our area.

Lincoln County

Saline County

Sub-freezing temperatures as low as 29 are expected.

Freeze conditions will kill crops and other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing.

The National Weather Service in Hastings, Neb., has issued a freeze warning in effect from 12 a.m.-9 a.m. Saturday for the following counties in our area.

Jewell County

Mitchell County

Sub-freezing temperatures as low as 25 are expected.

Freeze conditions will kill crops and other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing.

The National Weather Service in Topeka has issued a freeze warning in effect from 12 a.m.-9 a.m. Saturday for the following counties in our area.

Clay County

Cloud County

Dickinson County

Ottawa County

Republic County

Temperatures as low as 30 are expected Saturday morning.

Freeze conditions could damage or kill sensitive vegetation.

Freeze watches

The National Weather Service in Wichita has issued a freeze watch in effect from late Saturday night through Sunday morning for the following counties in our area.

Lincoln County

Sub-freezing temperatures as low as 27 are possible.

Frost conditions will kill crops and other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing.

Additionally, the National Weather Service in Wichita has issued a freeze watch in effect from late Saturday night through Sunday morning for the following counties in our area.

Marion County

McPherson County
