A local woman was cited in connection to a four-vehicle wreck in south Salina late Tuesday morning.
Tonya Davis, 46, of Salina, was southbound on S. Ninth Street just north of the Otto Avenue intersection when her 2007 Chrysler Town and Country minivan struck the back of a 1999 Ford F350 pickup, driven by Glenn Vessey, 53, of Holyrood, that was stopped at the traffic light, Salina Police Captain Paul Forrest reported Wednesday.
The impact of the collision forced the pickup into the back of a 2020 Dodge Ram 2500 pickup driven by James Komarek, 36, of Salina. The Ram then struck the car ahead of it, a 1999 Buick LeSabre driven by Donna Schneweis, 76, of Salina.
Davis suffered injuries and was transported by EMS to Salina Regional Health Center, Forrester noted.
The minivan sustained heavy front-end damage and the F350 sustained front-end and rear-end damage. Both were towed from the scene, according to Forrester. The Ram sustained front-end and rear-end damage and the LeSabre sustained minor rear-end damage. Both of those vehicles were removed by the drivers.
Davis was cited to inattentive driving, driving while suspended, and habitual violator, Forrester reported.
