A Salina organization meant to strengthen local families and children, is set to receive upwards of $10,000 from Evergy's grant program.
According to Evergy, CAPS of Salina (Child Advocacy & Parenting Services) among two other organizations will each receive up to $10,000. This funding from Evergy's 2026 Connecting for Good Hometown Grants program.
The grant is meant to support a new or expanded project/program, focused on providing basic needs to the community.
Those organizations with CAPS of Salina include:
ICT Food Rescue, Wichita – The Food Recovery Program links surplus food to neighbors in need.
Care Cupboard Hygiene Pantry, Parsons – The Hygiene for Hope Program connects families to hygiene, dignity and stability through community care.
Additionally, Evergy provides about $7 million annually to local nonprofits and offers customers an array of face-to-face support, bill payment and energy savings resources.
