
Rosella June (Nelson) Cline passed away February 15, 2025. Born on October 22, 1926, in Salina, Kansas to George E. & Adelia (Frost) Nelson. She was raised on a farm near Smolan until the government took the farm to build Camp Phillips in 1942. Rosella’s parents moved to a farm south of Kipp, Kansas and she graduated from Kipp High School in 1944. She attended Brown Mackie School and worked as a bookkeeper at Jo-Mar Dairy.
Rosella was baptized, confirmed, and married at the Salemsborg Lutheran Church. She married Bernie Cline on June 15, 1947. They lived most of their married life on the farm by Kipp. Bernie passed away in 1987.
Rosella belonged to the FCE, the American Legion Auxiliary, VFW Auxiliary, Immanuel Lutheran Church, Welca group and the Alter Guild for many years. She also loved to travel and saw all fifty states, Europe, Canada, and Mexico. To keep busy, she worked part time doing bookkeeping jobs for over 20 years.
Survivors are son, Ron (Jane) Cline, Shawnee, KS, & daughter Connie (Bernie) Dahl, Gypsum, KS. Sister Ella Mae Sadek, Tyler, TX. Four grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, two great granddaughters, six step great grandchildren.
Preceded in death, parents, George & Adelia Nelson, husband, Bernie Cline, son Rick Cline.
Visitation at Ryan Mortuary Friday, February 21st from 5:00pm until 7:00pm. A private burial for family members at a later date.
