SALINE COUNTY —One person died in an accident just after 10a.m. Thursday in Saline County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2008 Harley Davidson Flux driven by Kevin James Pierce, 52, Paragould, Arkansas, was westbound in the left lane of Intestate 70 just east of Brookville Road.
The driver lost control of the motorcycle when the rear tire blew . The driver and passenger were thrown from the bike and landed in the center median.
EMS transported Pierce and a passenger identified as Pierce, Mary Angela Pierce, 40, Paragould, Arkansas, to Salina Regional Health Center where she was pronounce deceased. They were wearing half helmets, according to the KHP.
