Salina firefighters responded to a house fire in south Salina on Wednesday.
At approximately 11:45 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 28, Salina firefighters were called to 505 Sun Drive after receiving a call from dispatch that a prefabricated home was engulfed by flames.
According to SFD Acting Battalion Chief, Josh Foley Salina Fire Station Two, Engine #2 arrived on the scene in just less than four minutes.
"There's going to be damage that runs throughout the house, but when we got there initially, it was about 35 to 50 percent engulfed," Foley said.
According to Foley, no residents or firefighters were injured in this fire. The occupant of the home was outside when firefighters arrived on the scene. The cause of the fire is still under investigation by the SFD prevention department.
