Heavy rainfall will affect southeast Kansas tonight and spread into parts of south central Kansas on Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service.
The additional rainfall may aggravate ongoing flooding or result in new flooding of creeks, rivers and low-lying areas.
Additionally a flood watch in effect from Tuesday morning through Tuesday evening includes Marion County.
Showers and thunderstorms with heavy rain are forecast across the area on Tuesday.
Flooding of low water crossings and low-lying areas are possible. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.
