Dickinson County offices and departments and Dickinson County District Court will be closed Monday for Independence Day and will reopen at 8 a.m. Tuesday.
Residents who live in the unincorporated areas of Dickinson County are reminded that if they wish to discharge fireworks they need to get a permit from the County Clerk’s office by 4:30 p.m. Friday.
Permits can be obtained from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Dickinson County Clerk’s office, located at 109 E. First Street in Abilene, the Herington City Office, or by going to the home page of the county website at dkcoks.gov and following the instructions listed.
