High to very high grassland fire danger is forecast on Saturday.
The fire danger is a result of the very dry conditions and the forecast south winds at 25 to 35 mph with gusts over 40 mph, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Wichita.
The greatest threat is from mid-morning throughout the afternoon for areas roughly east of Interstate 35.
Avoid outdoor burning.
