A tractor valued over $5,000 was destroyed after catching on fire in North Salina

A field tractor was engulfed in flames and its loss of value was well over $5,000.

According to Saline County Sheriff Roger Soldan, a 1974 case tractor was being used by 70-year old Jarold Ross on Friday, May 16th. When he was done, he parked the tractor in a field in North Salina.

The next day on Saturday around 2:15 pm, the tractor caught on fire.  Deputies received report about the fire and the Salina Fire Department extinguished it. 

The cause of fire was unknown and loss of the tractor was valued at $10,000.
