After five years, leads still sought in Lori Heimer murder case

ASSARIA - After five years, the death of Lori Heimer in her rural Saline County home remains unsolved.

"Unfortunately we do not have new information to share with the public that we believe would help further the Lori Heimer murder case," Melissa Underwood, communications director for the Kansas Bureau of Investigation, told Salina Post this afternoon. "The investigation remains ongoing."

On June 25, 2016, Heimer was found dead in her home on S. Hopkins Road near Assaria. While her loved ones continue to wait for answers, investigators from the Saline County Sheriff's Office and KBI agents continue to pursue each lead uncovered.

"I can assure you that each and every new lead that arises is intensely and fully pursued," Underwood said.
