August 3, 1953 ~ December 24, 2022 (age 69)

Mary Ann Krier 69, passed away December 24, 2022 at Hilltop Lodge Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born August 3, 1953 in Beloit KS to Lawrence and Caroline (Schmitt) Krier.

She was raised on the family farm north of Tipton until the family moved into town in the early 1960s. She graduated from Tipton High School in 1972.

After high school, she went to work for the family business of Krier Grocery in Tipton. Then went to work at the Town Pump for her brother Nelson. A few years later she worked at Kent Manufacturing for many years until transferring to Osborne Industries where she stayed until she retired. 

In her free time, Mary Ann enjoyed golfing, bowling in tournaments with her mom Caroline, watching any KU sports, and attending any activities of her niece and nephews. Her favorite thing to do during the summer was being a scorekeeper for the Tipton peewee baseball teams for twenty plus years.

She was a member of St. Ann's Altar Society, Daughters of Isabella, and St. Boniface Catholic Church in Tipton. 

She moved to Beloit in January of 2020 until her health began to decline in February of 2022. She then moved to Hilltop Lodge in Beloit where she resided until her passing. 

She is survived by her four brothers: Dale (Bev) Krier, of Weeping Water NE, Francis Krier of Beloit, KS, Stanley (Pam) Krier of Tipton, KS, and Nelson Krier of Tipton, KS; five nephews and nieces, and eight great-nieces and nephews, along with many extended family members. 

She is preceded in death by her parents Lawrence and Caroline Krier.

A rosary will take place at the St. Boniface Catholic Church on Thursday, December 29, at 6:30 p.m. Graveside service at St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery on Friday, December 30 at 10 a.m. 

Memorials may be made to Tipton Catholic High School and Solomon Valley Hospice.
