RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. - Taisei Arima of Fort Hays State Men's Soccer received GAC/MIAA Offensive Player of the Week honors on Tuesday (for his effort in a pair of wins for Fort Hays State this past week.
He helped the Tigers go 2-0 in a pair of matches against Newman University by generating seven points.
Arima scored a goal in the 4-3 win for Fort Hays State at Newman on Thursday. He then had a hand in three of the five goals scored by FHSU in a 5-1 win over Newman in Hays, scoring two and assisting on one. The seven-point week gives Arima 12 for the season, which is tied for second best on the team.
Arima joins Michael Turner of Rogers State (Defender of the Week) and Declan Viljoen (Goalkeeper of the Week) as the weekly honorees from the GAC office.
