Police are investigating a burglary in north Salina that resulted in a $25,000 loss for a local organization.
Early Thursday morning, according to surveillance video, someone pried open the back door of the ISIS Shrine, 200 E. Diamond Drive, and took a public address system out of the building, Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester reported this morning. The person is described as a male wearing a hoodie and sweatpants.
The person returned a few minutes later with another person. They took numerous items from the building, including an iPad, Cabela’s gift cards, liquor, a security camera, raffle tickets, and a cell phone.
They also damaged the rear door, a liquor cabinet, the ceiling, and a shed door. Total loss with damage and theft was estimated at $25,000, Forrester noted. The investigation is ongoing.
