Paula Ann Andrews, 63, of Baldwin City, KS passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at The University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, KS.  She was born November 17, 1960 in St. Louis, MO the daughter of Paul Thimio Nicola and Carol Ann (Chandler) Coward.  She moved to Lawrence in 1973 where she met her Best Friend, Jennifer Nelson and they attended Lawrence High School and graduated in 1979. 

She was united in marriage to Richard Andrews, her soulmate, on January 9, 1982 in Lawrence, KS, and shared over forty-two years of marriage.

Paula worked as a Regional Supervisor for Mediacom in Baldwin City, KS for over thirty years.  She was a member of Business Professional Women; Baldwin City Chamber of Commerce; an Avid Sports Mom; and was Treasurer for the Kansas State Horse Show Circuit.

Paula loved being a Mom and Grandma.  She absolutely  loved spending time with her grandchildren.  Paula enjoyed traveling to Mexico. She was an avid KU Jayhawks and Chiefs Fan. Her family nickname was “The Queen” and she will be remembered for her bubbly, funny, and sassy personality.

Mrs. Andrews was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Carol; and her brother, Michael Lenz.

Surviving family includes her husband, Richard Andrews; two daughters, Jessica Carol Tyler and Brad Tyler, Amy Andrews; sister, Julie Nicola (Kelly McDonald) and nephew, Lee Sheldon (Morgan), a brother-in-law, Alba Andrews (Bambi); sister-in-law, Sharon Andrews, all of Baldwin City, KS; sister, Nancy Harless (Doug) of Pueblo, CO; eight grandchildren, Brindle and Knox Flaherty, Carlos, Cesar, Camilo and Ciealo Gomez, and Silvia and Mateo Gammon.  

Cremation is planned. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to The American Cancer Society or the Lawrence Humane Society and sent in c/o the Lamb-Roberts-Price Funeral Home, P.O.
