Over the weekend, the Sacred Heart golf team won an unprecedented tenth straight regional tournament, moving them one step closer to a tenth straight 2A state title.

The Knights finished 12 strokes ahead of the next closest team in Hutch Trinity, carding a 307 ahead of the Celtics at 319.
Sacred Heart grabbed the top two spots at this event individually, and three of the top four, ensuring themselves the victory and a ticket to Turkey Creek.
Luke Newell had the best overall score at this event, shooting a 69 on the day ahead of teammate Dom Matteucci who finished second with a 75.

“We’ve made significant strides this year, adn we’ve shown the ability to play golf at a high level,” Newell said. “We have what it takes to win another state title.
The Knights will battle it out for a tenth-straight title on Tuesday, May 27 and Wednesday May 28th at the McPherson Turkey Creek Golf Course.
