A Salina man was cited after a two-vehicle accident Thursday morning in central Salina.
Kenneth Bridges, 82, of Salina, was southbound on S. Fourth Street in a 2017 Honda HR-V when he failed to stop at the stop sign at the E. Republic Avenue intersection and struck an eastbound 2000 Honda Accord driven by a 16-year-old boy from Salina, according to Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester. The accident occurred at approximately 7:50 a.m. Thursday.
Bridges complained of chest pain and was transported by EMS to Salina Regional Health Center.
Both vehicles had front-end damage and were towed from the scene.
Forrested said Bridges was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign.
