Eric G. Pridey, 53, of Salina, passed away Monday, April 5, 2021. He was born November 24, 1967 in Salina, to Elwyn and Ann Louise (Geisler) Pridey.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his siblings, Ann Marie Boyce (Larry), of Tulsa, OK., Kathryn Pridey (Ed Lewek), of Fairport, NY, Roger Pridey (Joanne), of Salina, KS,
Ron Pridey (Melody Julian), of Laramie, WY; and his adored nieces and nephews, Olivia, Amanda, Megan, Kendle, Caleb, Kara, Casey, Chloe, Viviana, Oskar, Briella, Reese, Bristol, and Kathryn. In addition to other close relatives, Eric leaves behind a multitude of friends to mourn his passing.
Eric grew up in Delphos, Kansas. He attended Glasco Grade School and graduated from Minneapolis High School in 1986. He went on to attend Kansas State University.
Despite being disabled at the age of 16, Eric's pace on his earthly journey never slowed. Eric was very charismatic and made friends easily. His personality was an asset as a sales rep for various companies during his working career.
Eric was a diehard sports fan, and loved watching all college and professional sports, especially his KSU Wildcats.
He helped coach little league sports for many years and played on a wheelchair rugby team that traveled throughout the states. Eric was a lifelong Methodist church member. He volunteered at the Good Samaritan Senior Center in Minneapolis, reading newspapers and scripture to residents on a regular basis. Eric was also devoted to his feline friends, Callie and Cherry Bomb.
A celebration of Eric's life will take place at a later date.
