KWU's Monson earns KCAC Defender of the Week honors

Emily Monson (SR/Cheney ) of Kansas Wesleyan University has earned this week's KCAC Defender of the Week honors the Kansas Conference office announced Monday. 

Student-athletes in the Player of the Week program are selected for their performances by a vote of conference sports information directors.

It was another solid week for Monson in one match with Bethel. She averaged 7.0 digs per set and was solid passing, with zero passing errors. This is the fourth time Monson has been named KCAC Volleyball Defender of the Week.

Monson helped the Coyotes win their eighth straight match in the win over Bethel last week, and earn head coach Jessica Biegert her 200th overall career win, and 50th win at Kansas Wesleyan.

The Coyotes are back in action on Wednesday at Oklahoma Wesleyan, then host Sterling on Saturday morning at 11 a.m. inside Mabee Arena for Homecoming 2021.
