KWU women's soccer drops 1-0 match to Bellevue

PAPILLION, Neb. – Kansas Wesleyan women's soccer fell to Bellevue, who is receiving votes in the latest NAIA poll, 1-0, on Saturday evening at Papillion Landing.

Bellevue scored the lone goal of the match in the 31st minute and made it stand.

Wesleyan had many chances to score, especially in the second half, but Bellevue's keeper many several outstanding saves in the match.

KWU outshot Bellevue 14-6 in the match. Three different Coyotes had two shots each. Daisy Bingham (JR/Huntington Beach, Calif.) had a save in goal, but only saw two shots on frame by Bellevue.

Wesleyan hosts Dakota Wesleyan on Tuesday at 5 p.m. at the Graves Family Sports Complex.
