Robert A. “Bob” Schaut, 60, of Salina, Kansas, passed away December 7, 2021.
Bob was born March 26, 1961 in Amarillo, Texas.
Bob was married to Pam, and they were together for over 20 years.
Growing up as a military family, he lived in many places, Puerto Rico, Washington D.C., and Michigan, to name a few.
After high school, Bob moved to Kansas to start his career with Foley Equipment in the early 80s, and worked there for over a decade. Bob chose to change companies to pursue a parts manager position at Sellers Equipment and spent over 25 years with the company until they closed their doors. He then returned to Foley Equipment to continue his parts career.
Bob loved spending time with his family, whether it was family dinners, vacation with siblings, or a visit to family back home in Wisconsin. Bob and Pam enjoyed trail riding and taking care of their horses (and other pets) over the years. Bob volunteered for Saline County Mounted Patrol for 20 years, retiring in December of 2020. Bob also served on the board for Ottawa County RWD #2 for a number of years.
Bob is survived in death by his wife Pam King-Schaut; daughter Jami Schaut (Brendan); stepson Brandon Gray (Jenny); mother Frances Schaut; grandchildren Miya, Adryan, Aiden, Kelsey, and Haylee; brothers Joe Schaut (best friend Sarah), Steve Schaut (Jackie), and Dan Schaut (Sharon); nieces Elizabeth and Sara; and nephews Michael, Harold, Tyler, and Trever.
Bob is preceded in death by his father Duaine Schaut.
Cremation has been chosen.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., March 27, 2022 at Wilson Cemetery in Wilson, Kansas.
