Saline County Clerk announces unofficial list of candidates for 2024 Election

After the June 3 deadline to file for public office, more candidates entered local races, and Kansas Rep. Susan Concannon (R-107) for the state legislature will not run for re-election. Incumbent Steven Howe is the only person to file for the 71st District seat.

Important Primary Election Dates

July 16 – Deadline to register to vote or update your voter registration information to participate in the 2024 primary election.

July 17—First day of advance voting for the primary election. Advance ballots are transmitted by mail, and in-person advance begins

July 30 – Last day to apply for an advance voting mail ballot for the primary election

 August 5 – In-person advance voting ends at noon for the primary election

August 6th – Primary election

You must be registered as a Republican or a Democrat to vote in the primary election. 

Important General Election Dates

October 15 – Deadline to register to vote or update your voter registration information to participate in the 2024 general election

The first day of advance voting is October 16. Advance ballots are transmitted by mail, and in-person advance voting may begin

October 29 – Last day to apply for an advance voting mail ballot

November 4 – In-person advance voting ends at noon
