Kansas City, Mo -- 30 years after playing in his final game, dual-sport superstar Bo Jackson was inducted into the Kansas City Royals Hall of Fame on Saturday, to the delight of the KC faithful.

Jackson spent eight seasons in the MLB, spending five of those with the Royals, and four seasons in the NFL with the Oakland Raiders, before a tragic injury cut both careers short.

On the diamond, Bo hit 107 homers in a four-season stretch from 1987 to 1990, that also saw him named All-Star MVP in 1989.

On the gridiron, Jackson dazzled with his speed and shiftiness, racking up 3,189 yards and 18 touchdowns in just four seasons.

Despite the setback of a critical injury, Bo would go on to become the first player in MLB history to compete with an artificial hip, and was recognized for his efforts with Comeback Player of the Year in 1993.

Jackson becomes the 28th member of the Royals Hall of Fame, joining World Series-winning manager Ned Yost as the only other inductee of the decade.
