Rita Marie Ouellette, age 92, of Salina and formerly of Clyde, passed away on Tuesday, January 05, 2021 at her son’s home in Salina, KS. She was born on Oct. 11, 1928 in Clyde, KS to Albert & Lena (Couture) Lambert.
Rita attended Clyde schools. She married Thomas Leon Ouellette on Aug. 21, 1950 in Clyde. He preceded her on March 29, 1973. She worked at Deena's Cafe and also as a housekeeper at Park Villa Nursing Home, Clyde and was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
She is survived by her son, Tom Ouellette (Vicky), Salina; sisters, Delores Svoboda, Herington & Mary Lou Bramhall , Wichita; 4 grandchildren & 3 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas; daughter, Linda Ouellette (Morgan); parents; brothers, Ronald, Donald, Joe & Jerry Lambert & a sister, Aileen Esslinger.
Mass of Christian burial will be 10:00 am, Friday, January 8, 2021 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Clyde, KS with Fr. Steven Heina officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Clyde. Visitation will be from 1-8 pm with a Rosary at 7 pm, Thursday, January 7, 2021 at Chaput Mortuary, Clyde.
