Salina Downtown Inc. is set to host the first “Live” First Friday event of the year on April 4, bringing an evening of entertainment, shopping, and community activities to the heart of the city.
Seventeen downtown businesses will keep their doors open later than usual, giving shoppers a chance to explore local offerings until 7 p.m. Participating stores include Salina Selfie Station, Familia Toys, True Betty Boutique, Salina Art Center, Poppy & Vine, Red Fern Booksellers, Baron Mushmouse, Flipping Fabulous, and more.
In addition to extended shopping hours, visitors can look forward to a variety of activities throughout the evening. Candiles Tacos & Tequila will offer a special on jumbo blue margaritas for $5.99, as well as $2 off dip appetizers.

For those seeking some family-friendly fun, Campbell Plaza will host the Color Me Crazy Face Painting from 6 to 8 p.m. and the Salina Area Young Professionals Lip Sync Battle.
As part of the festivities, Salina Downtown Inc. will also conduct a receipt raffle from 5 to 7 p.m. Shoppers will receive one raffle entry for every $10 spent downtown during this period.

Art enthusiasts can immerse themselves in local culture with a series of artist receptions. The Greater Salina Community Foundation will host a reception on the 8th floor of the United Building from 4 to 6 p.m. Additional receptions will take place at A Work in Progress Yoga Studio (218 E Walnut) from 4 to 6 p.m., Peaceful Body Wellness Retreat (148 S Santa Fe) from 5 to 7 p.m., Salina Art Center (242 S Santa Fe) from 5 to 7 p.m., and Subvert Studio (116 E Iron) from 5 to 8 p.m.
Salina’s First Friday events are scheduled to take place on the first Friday of every month from April to October.
