The National Weather Service in Wichita is warning of fire danger across part of our area today.
Strong southwest winds and dry low levels will result in very high to extreme fire danger across southern Kansas this afternoon, the weather service noted.
Outdoor burning is highly discouraged and be mindful of anything that may cause a spark.
