Police are investigating an alleged aggravated battery after a Salina man was found walking around with apparent stab wounds on his arms.

Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester reported this morning that officers were dispatched to the 600 block of South Broadway Boulevard at approximately 8 p.m. Wednesday. The officers located the victim, a 38-year-old Salina man, who was walking in the Sunset Dillons parking lot, 1201 West Crawford Street, Forrester noted.

According to Forrester, the man had several apparent stab wounds on his right and left arms, was missing a shoe, and had no shirt on. He was under the influence of alcohol and could not provide any information as to what happened or where, Forrester explained. He was taken to Salina Regional Health Center for his injuries, Forrester noted.

Officers were unable to locate in the area any evidence of an altercation, Forrester reported. The investigation is ongoing, he added.
