Judith Ann Jameson, 81, Concordia, Kansas passed away at her home, surrounded by her loving family, on June 18, 2025. She was the oldest child, born to Romaine and Elizabeth (Peters) LaBonte in Concordia, Kansas on August 30, 1943.

Judy attended school in Aurora, Kansas and graduated high school in 1961.

She married James Lanoue, Jr and this union brought two children, Sheri and Brent. They later divorced.

Judy worked in the office at Boogaarts and at Pawnee Mental Health Center. She raised and boarded dogs for a time. She also worked as a bartender at the American Legion from1985 until recently.

She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church and American Legion Auxiliary Post 76. She enjoyed working and her pets. She was a tremendous animal lover. She had a huge heart and would do anything for anyone. Most of all, she was an excellent mother.

Judy will be missed by her children, Sheri Krause (Tony) of Concordia, KS and Brent Lanoue (Karen) of Concordia, KS; her grandchildren, Austin Fall, Alex Fall, Kira Krause, Taylor Walker (Kendall), and Paige Lanoue; five great grandchildren; brothers Mike LaBonte (Karen), and Jerry LaBonte; five nieces and nephews; and a host of friends and relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant brother, Terry LaBonte, and a brother Jim LaBonte and his wife Sherilyn.

Judy’s wishes were to be cremated. A memorial mass will be held on Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Father Joseph Kieffer will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Peters Catholic Church in Aurora, KS. Friends may sign the book on Tuesday, June 24, 2025 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The family strongly suggests memorials to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital in lieu of flowers.
