Delmar R. Peterson, 94, died August 9, 2021 in Manhattan, KS. He was born on June 12, 1927 in Clay County, the son of George and Hanna (Swenson) Peterson. Delmar was raised in Clay County. He attended Johnson and Swedesburg country school and Morganville and Clay Center High Schools.

He married Lorene Small on November 27, 1947. They made their home and farmed in Clay County. Delmar also worked at Northern Natural Gas and was on the Clay Center Co-op board.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Lois Gelino and brother Virgil.

Daughter: Joan and husband Rick Kahrs of Morganville, KS

Son: Steve and wife Jan Peterson of Clay Center, KS

Son: Mike and wife Vicki Peterson of Clay Center, KS

Seven grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren

Funeral services: 10:30 a.m., Friday, August 13, 2021, at the Clay Center United Methodist Church, Clay Center, KS

Minister: Pastor Rueben Langat

Burial: Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, Kansas

Visitation: Friday, August 13, 2021, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service
