Escape strikes power pole; driver arrested on outstanding warrants

A local man was arrested after a single-vehicle wreck in west-central Salina Friday night.

Terrance Johnson, 25, of Salina, was northbound on S. Broadway Boulevard near the intersection with W. Crawford Street when the 2005 Ford Escape he was driving left the roadway and struck a pole, Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester reported this morning. Johnson was not injured.

The wreck occurred at 11:07 p.m. Friday.

Johnson was found to have several outstanding warrants and was arrested on those warrants, according to Forrester.

The Escape sustained front-end damage and was towed from the scene. The pole, owned by Evergy, sustained minor damage.
