In 1987, a heat burst occurred in Greensburg. The 7 AM temperature was 75 degrees then only a few minutes later soared to 95. The 8 AM temperature was 86 degrees.

In 1905, Parker, Arizona was torched by a temperature of 127 degrees, tying an Arizona State record that had been set in Fort Mojave on June 15th, 1896.
In 1981, a severe blizzard that hit Glacier National Park, Montana produced about 10 inches of snow and whip lashed the region with gusts that reached 90 mph.
In 1991, a complex of severe thunderstorms produced gusts around 85 mph across Lower Michigan. Damage was around $30 million and around 850,000 people lost power, some of whom were without power for a week.
