SALINA—Police are investigating a violent incident at a Salina convenience store and have made an arrest.
Just after 5:30a.m. Wednesday, police responded to Kwik Shop, 1727 W. Crawford in Salina, reference to a suspect threatening employees with a knife, according to Salina Police Captain James Feldman.
Employees reported a subject identified as 43-year-old Maurio Williams had been in the store earlier being belligerent and was told to leave, which he did.
He returned a short time later and began threatening to stab the clerk while holding a knife. Williams was still on the property, with the knife, when officers arrived. Officers were able to get Williams to drop the knife and took him into custody without incident. He was booked into the Saline County jail on requested charges of Aggravated Assault, Criminal Threat and Trespassing.
